Art Producer — AAA external development

Fifty artists, eighty assets, one approval trail.

I run client-facing AAA art production for World of Warcraft as an external-development partner: dependency-driven schedules, capacity planning, and the review chain that carries assets from concept through technical art, animation and FX to engine-ready delivery.

World of Warcraft — AAA art production

Art Producer / Art Production Manager — external development partner

Client-facing art production on a live-service title, running 80+ concurrent assets — characters, creatures, armor, mounts, weapons, props and concept art — across distributed teams of 50+ artists and production specialists.

  • Dependency-driven scheduling. Build and maintain asset schedules with art discipline leads across concept, 3D, technical art, animation and FX — scoping work, allocating capacity and hours, sequencing dependencies, adjusting priorities and absorbing scope changes.
  • Central production contact. Single line between client managers, art teams and technical disciplines, holding visibility on asset status, approvals, blockers, risks and every change that lands on a downstream team.
  • Feedback into standards. Translate client and art-lead notes into actionable tasks, track them through approval, and convert recurring notes into reusable standards — so the same correction stops arriving twice.
  • Risk surfaced early. Flag ambiguous requirements, resource conflicts and technical delivery risks, develop resolution options, rebalance work, and carry issues through to client approval and engine-ready delivery.
  • Technical delivery and onboarding. Established export and quality-gate processes and trained artists on engine requirements, reducing integration rework.

Production visibility, automated

Designed and implemented — production reporting system

Daily status reporting was taking roughly two hours and still left gaps. I designed a system that connects artist availability, allocated hours, task ownership, dependencies, submissions, approvals and client feedback into a single live view.

  • Cut daily reporting from about two hours to 45 minutes — roughly 60% of the time back, every day, for the whole production side.
  • Replaced manual status chasing with a view leads and clients can read themselves, so blockers surface the day they appear rather than at the next check-in.
  • Built on the tools already in the pipeline — Jira and Jira Automation, Confluence, ShotGrid and Perforce — rather than adding a system anyone had to learn from scratch.

Radiance — animation pipeline from zero

Line Producer — 2D animated series developed alongside an RPG

An independent Cyprus studio founded by film and video-game professionals, building an 8 × 20-minute animated series in parallel with an immersive RPG — directed by Vitaly Shushko (Love, Death & Robots), with Emmy-winning creators Gabriele Pennacchioli (Kung Fu Panda), Mark Zaslove (DuckTales) and Golan Ramraz (Iron Man) attached.

  • Built the production infrastructure from nothing. No tracking of any kind existed. I specified, configured and rolled out ShotGrid for tasks, review and approvals, and Perforce for version control across art and engineering, then wrote the naming, versioning and handoff conventions and drove adoption.
  • Staffed and scaled the team to 15 across 2D, animation, 3D and the writing room.
  • Ran the pre-production schedule against the 8-episode plan and coordinated daily between showrunner, director and department leads across four time zones.
